NU of S has rolled out its new S/U policy that allows students to S/U AFTER seeing their results at the END OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR instead of end of semester. Whereas our school still stick with the archaistic S/U policy.

Worried about your grades? Want to take an intimidating BDE module? Well, there's sometimes a way out! The S/U Option allows you to declare certain modules as basically pass (Satisfactory) or Fail (Unsatisfactory). EITHER way, that module will then have no effect on your GPA.
Biggest difference, NUS u SU after getting results. In NTU, you SU before getting results. NUS system is better for students, since you'll get a free gamble on the bellcurve first. I've intended to SU a mod before but been surprised with A-/A multiple times.
