Nutramigen is used in infants for bloody poops. You mentioned your baby is getting mostly breastmilk, so standard formula is less costly and an appropriate alternative when breastmilk is not available. If your wife is avoiding specific foods, appropriate formula alternatives are Alimentum or Pregestimil.
Turns out nutramigen still has milk even though its hydrolyzed. My fingers are crossed that the nutramigen works for you and you don’t have to get an amino acid based formula because damn is it expensive… But sign up for the enfamil nutramigen rewards thing, sometimes they mail pretty good coupons!
23 Ιαν 2022 · We ended up getting the last 2 small cans of Walgreens generic formula that is very close to nutramigen. “Well Beginnings Hypoallergenic”. So fingers crossed it works for now.
