River inflows, carrying abundant nutrients, increased the nutrient levels in the estuarine mixing zone. These correlations results indicated that changes in nutrient concentrations were strongly associated with the tide-river mixing processes.
1 Δεκ 2023 · It would also contribute to the mechanism of the influence of great river deltas on the coastal nutrient element cycle. In this study, we investigate the behavior of nutrients, including NH 4+ -N, NO 2− -N, NO 3− -N, PO 43−, and SiO 2 in seven rivers, including the Yellow River and six inlet runoffs.
1 Αυγ 2009 · A 1-D and 3-D coupled model, which includes physical and biogeochemical processes, is used to simulate the fluxes and transformations of nutrients in the Pearl River Delta (PRD). The model has been calibrated and validated to available field data collected in February 2001, January 1999 and July 1999.
10 Μαρ 2015 · Hydrological connectivity is a controlling factor on the frequency and degree of inundation of delta islands, bringing water, sediment, and nutrients to the island interiors.
3 Απρ 2023 · In this work, we reviewed previous studies about sediment and nutrient trapping by river dams, and found that dams disrupt river connectivity, trap sediment and nutrients in reservoirs, and decrease the amount that reaches coastal oceans, resulting in negative ecological impacts like river delta land loss, reservoir eutrophication, and GHG ...
10 Οκτ 2015 · We examine the Mekong, one of the world largest rivers, to assess on a whole-of-system scale, the spatial, monthly and inter-annual flux of nutrients and stoichiometric ratios using a huge data-set (1985–2011). Seasonal and spatial patterns are apparent and linked to hydrology.
