The Stony Brook University EMT course is a non-credit-bearing certificate program that prepares students to become eligible to sit for the New York State (NYS) and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) EMT exams.
This course EMS 110 will lead to certification as a New York State or National Registry EMT. This is the entry level certification for a career in Emergency Medical Services. Students must complete physical exam and immunization requirements prior to participating in this program.
