  5. The Task Force’s recommendation consolidates the responsibility for private colleges and universities’ campus building inspections, outside of New York City, to the State’s Office of Fire Prevention and Control (OFPC).

  6. Those who train others in student campus fire safety must believe in the importance of fire safe behavior, have the necessary knowledge to communicate accurate fire safety information to students, and model fire safe behavior before the students in their care.
