The Grade point average (GPA) can be obtained by determining the total of all grade points earned (quality points) and dividing that figure by the total number of credit hours completed (quality hours).
Computing Grade Point Average. To determine grade point average, divide the total number of credits completed into the total number of honor credits granted. For example, a student completing 20 credits with 50 honor credits would have a grade point average of 2.5.
