Our goal is to identify and rescue blind and visually impaired dogs of any breed. These may be dogs that have been abused, neglected, abandoned or surrendered by their owners. We network with shelters to help find forever families.

The Oklahoma Council of the Blind has four chapters located in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Lawton, and Duncan. Each chapter continues to grow, meets monthly, and along with supporting OCB, they are developing their own initiatives, and partnerships and providing resources to members.

The convention will begin early on Saturday with breakfast, welcoming words from Lawton’s Mayor, a presentation of the colors, and a short address by OCB President Kay Love. Exhibits will be open from 8am to 5pm on Saturday. We will have a variety of vendors showcasing various products.
With exceptional client services and a robust network of instructors, puppy raisers, donors, and volunteers, Guide Dogs for the Blind prepare highly qualified guide dogs to serve and empower individuals who are blind or have low vision from throughout the United States and Canada.
