The mission of Oklahoma Wesleyan University is to develop and send servant leaders to advance the Kingdom of God. We model a biblically centered way of thought, life, and faith as a vital part of The Wesleyan Church.
Although its origins began much earlier, Oklahoma Wesleyan University truly came into existence in 2001--after several mergers and re-namings. The school is located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, which is about an hour north of Tulsa.
The University of Tulsa (TU) is a private research university in Tulsa, Oklahoma. [ 6 ] It has a historic affiliation with the Presbyterian Church, although it is now nondenominational, and the campus architectural style is predominantly Collegiate Gothic.
At the turn of the twenty-first century Oklahoma Wesleyan University was one of five colleges and institutions in the United States and Canada supported by the denomination. As a Christian, liberal arts institution, it offered graduate programs in business education and nursing.
