The NC State Board of Elections provides a digital sample of what your ballot will look like when you vote, including the order, offices, issues, and candidates that will be on your ballot. This digital sample can be helpful to prepare you to vote; for example, you can use this sample to research candidates or issues.
Your Vote. In the 2024 general election, whether voting in-person or by mail, North Carolina voters will be asked to show photo ID. Voters can show their driver’s license, but many other forms of photo ID will be accepted. Registered voters who do not have a photo ID can get one for free from their county board of elections or an NCDMV office.
