3 Νοε 2022 · The open baffle hi-fi, high quality speaker design introduced here provides a substitute to the common loudspeaker housing. Its sound emission pattern resembles electrostatic pattern. It works without enclosure or housing for the woofers, although employs normal dynamics for the drive units.

It has been made sufficiently adjustable to operate with a wide range of open baffle designs and different drivers. It can also be used with more conventional enclosures and a wide range of different power amplifiers.
The design of an OB speaker system can be as quick and easy as constructing a temporary baffle from cardboard, listening to the response, and making immediate adjustments to address shortcomings in what the designer/builder hears. Quick, easy to build, and cheap are all appealing attributes of OB systems for a lot of DIY speaker builders.
