The Vietnam Veterans Memorial site now includes the Three Servicemen Statue – dedicated in 1984; the Vietnam Women’s Memorial – dedicated in 1993; and the In Memory plaque – dedicated in 2004.
The photographs in Jeffrey Silverthorne’s new book Morgue, were made in 1972 and 1973, at the state morgue of Rhode Island. The 22 large-format photographs of corpses are intimate but discreet.
