The only thing wrong with the installation are the transfer speeds. Without OpenVPN "iperf" reports about 300 mbps download speed. As soon as OpenVPN is involved the speed drops to anywhere between 10 and 70 mbps depending on different mtu/crypto configurations. I've been able to reproduce the issue in a simple adhoc VPN. Server (Debian 8):
24 Φεβ 2019 · I upgraded the OpenVPN Connect client to versions 3.4.3.3337 and 3.4.4.3412, still it didn't solve the issue. Finally while scouring the internet for an older version - 3.3.6.2752 (as this version worked well earlier and confirmed this via a colleague who was still on this version) I came across this post and voila! rolling back to this old ...

15 Ιαν 2018 · With Access Server you just go to the web interface and log on as a user. Then you download server-locked, user-locked, or auto-login profile. That's it. Those are the 3 typos of files you can import into the OpenVPN client. But do note that the server-locked profile only works with OpenVPN Connect for Windows and macOS.

13 Σεπ 2023 · I was running OpenVPN Connect (macOS) version 3.3.3. When doing Settings -> Software Update -> "Check now", OpenVPN Connect would not offer to install version 3.4.4. So I had to manually download the installer for v3.4.4 and install it in replacement of v.3.4.3. -- The same has happened to other fellow users. Any clues why this has been the case?
5 Φεβ 2016 · Greetings. My download speeds without a VPN are 200+ Mbps. When I connect to my server with OpenVPN installed (it can download at 500+ Mbps) I get a max of 15 Mbps, and often less. I'm running OpenVPN 2.3.10 x86_64-w64-mingw32 and have tried a variety of versions of TAP drivers, but they all get around the same speed.
17 Δεκ 2017 · Unfortunately there is no official APK direct download link. OpenVPN Connect is offered via PlayStore and Amazon Marketplace. Installing an apk from a third party service is always risky because you don't know if the apk is the official one or it was modified.
10 Ιουν 2011 · Before the recent OpenVPN Connect v3 release, it would not be easily possible to migrate from Connect v2 to Connect v3. That is because these are separate programs and they can live side-by-side on the same system, and their configurations are kept separate.
