15 Μαρ 2024 · California requires all EMT candidates to complete a state-approved training program. These programs provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to give emergency medical care. Training programs typically last between six months to a year and include both classroom and hands-on instruction.
State certifications are renewed every two years and require 24 hours of CE (continuing education), a valid CPR card, and a skills validation exam.
