Cards is a native report region type in Oracle Application Express (APEX). The Cards region type gives developers a powerful, flexible, new way of displaying data in bite-sized blocks. Card regions are ideal for use in faceted search or presenting at-a-glance information.
Cards Regions are useful for presenting a variety of information in small blocks and can be heavily customized. They can be displayed in three styles, with icons or initials, images as part of the body or as the background, to enhance each card presentation and you can control the layout.
Oracle APEX card regions let your users browse and act on a grid of tiles, each representing a row of data. The card region directly taps into your end user’s intuition of browsing their mobile phone’s photo library, especially when the cards feature an image, so it’s a compelling way to present data to users.
A cards report region declaratively supports customizations of layout and appearance and the inclusion of icons, badges, media, and actions. Use cards to embed and share media sourced from a BLOB column, URL or video in iFrame.
