we have recently installed oracle ias 10.1.2.0.2 on a customers server. the server runs windows xp (customers choice as they want to use as a workstation also, which illadvised to do!) the server now blue screens at quite often, and also sometime freezes.
Starting with 10 g (9.0.4), each application server instance, by default, requires an Application Server Control and Management Agent to be running from its Oracle home. To fix the problem, you must start the Application Server Control for the instance you want to manage:
