23 Σεπ 2018 · Some of the most sought-after options for 1968-’70 AMXs are the three Big Bad colors. In January 1969, AMC introduced Big Bad Orange, Big Bad Green and Big Bad Blue as optional paints on the AMX and Javelin, covering even the bumpers.

They included Big Bad Blue, Big Bad Orange, and Big Bad Green, and when optioned, even covered the bumpers. Far and away though, the biggest news associated with the ’69 model was the introduction of the high-performance, drag strip-oriented AMC Hurst AMX 390 Super Stock model.
While the '70 AMX might not rank in value with the more famous two-seater models in the Chevy Corvette and first-generation Ford Thunderbird, it's just as powerful and as much of a thrill ride while being far more affordable at $37,000 to $45,000 in prime condition.

23 Απρ 2022 · Yes, I’m being a bit harsh on the poor AMX, which was a bit of a bright spot when it appeared in 1968. And as R&T’s test showed, it was a quite capable (shortened) pony car, R&T leveled some more critiques of the AMX’ styling, including the horrendously dorky wheel covers.
