2 Ιαν 2021 · Owner Review: Orient Mako XL – Orange is the new black. The Orient Mako XL has been around a few year now, but since the release of the Kano and Kamasu, it’s gotten even more affordable. With a total of five different variations, the black dial/orange bezel combo is by far my favorite one.
25 Μαΐ 2011 · The Orient CEM75001M--aka the Mako XL which thankfully supercedes the moniker Hogrider--was introduced a couple of years ago as a bigger version of the very popular Mako dive watch. They both use the Orient caliber 46943, a 21-jewel automatic movement.
2 Σεπ 2015 · The Mako USA dial borrows elements from a number of other Orient divers, among them the Ray and the Mako XL. Gone are the Arabic numerals of the original, replaced entirely by large indices similar to those on the Mako XL.
6 Απρ 2020 · As if the Mako collection wasn't hard enough to follow, Orient decided to release a Mako XL between the first and second generations. As the name implies, this model is an upsized Mako 1 that's 3mm wider (44.5mm) and 0.3mm thicker (13.3mm).

6 Μαρ 2014 · I prefer the XL's hands (more uniform, hour not as stubby). I prefer the XL's hour indices to the Ray's, which I find a bit cluttered in their variety. I like that the Ray has a screw down day pusher to prevent accidentally changing it.
