23 Αυγ 2024 · Orthworm does not Terastallize often, but when it does, Tera Water allows it to set up Shed Tail on Koraidon and Zacian-C and softcheck Pokemon like Ho-Oh and Kyurem-B. Sitrus Berry can potentially allow Orthworm to set up Shed Tail twice in a game.
5 Μαΐ 2023 · Orthworm is an important aspect of hyper-offense teams by providing teammates a Substitute and being immune to Ground-type attacks, letting them set up easier especially when paired with screens support.
Roaring Moon, Baxcalibur, Chien-Pao (unless it’s banded sacred sword), Maushold, Haxorus, Kingambit (without tera-ghost), Iron Thorns, and more are all absolutely stomped in a 1v1 by Orthworm.
I've had more success with Sitrus Orthworm, it and Glimmora are a great hazard core since you can go rocks plus spin on Glim and Spikes on Orth, and Orth completely covers Glim's ground weakness.

We've been seeing a surprising amount of sets, ranging from mixed with Hyper Beam and Low Kick to Focus Sash to Choice Specs, and it's been seeing a good bit of success in SPL. It plays like Gengar with a ghost immunity, it also trades a few coverage moves for a good ability. damn Kingambit in S is something I didn't have on my bucket list.
