You may or may not have solved it by now but here's the solution. SW: 1. Nature rune, obviously. NW: 6. Cabbage, as the NE pillar says "opposite the 6th". W: 3. Black knife/dagger, as the NW pillar says "next to the third" and putting the 3rd item on this pillar is the only possible location. You had those 3 correct. SW is nature rune.
If you decide to do the quest without a guide, i recommend reading the dialogues and not only play by the quest log. It makes the already lengthy quest even more time consuming but at least its more interesting to play through it even if you dislike questing.
