The buff to 2 handed odd tick weapons will easily make up for the lack of defender imo. I'm guessing that there's going to be some strong combat relics competing with the spec one that was just revealed so that should offset the lack of voidwaker and the like.
You can get a hot and cold master clue step and the locator orb will work too, for people with regions where health lowering is harder. I also think this pairs really well with undying retribution in T8, as it means you can play risky at low HP, and if you die, it doesn't natter.
