Mathematically Optimal Order to Train Melee Combat. I'm following up on a previous post about using math to optimize combat related things. This application is: What order should I train attack/strength to get to max as fast as possible. Let's say you start at (attack=60, strength=60), and your goal is (99, 99).
This article covers the most efficient training methods for melee in osrs. While this OSRS Combat Training Guide is beginner-friendly, it contains useful information for advanced and returning players as well!
For the free players' guide, see Free-to-play melee training. This article provides information about effective ways to train Attack, Strength, Defence, and Hitpoints through melee combat. This guide is organised into sections based on skill levels.

Training your melee lets you defeat a number of bosses.. Also, all 3 raids in Old School require melee. In PvP, there's a range of powerful melee weapons with strong special attacks, like the Dragon Claws, the Armadyl Godsword or the Voidwaker.
I’m 80/90/80 melee stats atm. If I have understood correctly, the optimal thing to do is going straight for 99 strength first and then do attack and defence later, when only looking at xp/hr. However, I would also like to get more into bossing, maybe do a little bit of raids 3, etc.
I do all my training through slayer and to train strength I'd use D Scim & D Defender and for Attack and Defence I'd use Whip & D Defender. Happy Sunday 😃. Get 90 Strength, then 90 Attack, then 99 Strength, then 99 Attack and then 99 Defence.
