31 Ιουλ 2015 · When Emilia discloses the truth about the handkerchief, Othello tries, unsuccessfully, to kill Iago, and Iago kills Emilia. Othello, aware of his enormous error in regarding Desdemona as unfaithful, stabs himself, falling dead on the bed beside Emilia and Desdemona.
Othello. I am not valiant neither, But ever puny whipster gets my sword: But why should honour outlive honesty? Let it go all. Emilia. What did thy song bode, lady? Hark, canst thou hear me? Emilia opens the curtains and to her horror sees Desdemona, who with her dying breaths says that she is innocent, but then denies that she was murdered and instead says that she committed suicide. Desdemona dies.
