As I see it GLaDOS and Wheatley's stories are done. Bringing them back would very likely lessen Portal 2's ending. What he seems to want to do is a direct sequel, a prequel or a game set between 1 and 2 I would be fine with, but I would not want them to cononically touch how Portal 2 ended.

If Sony were to improve the Portal with other updates, they would have by now. But so few, and such incremental updates, months after release is only telling that the Portal is not their main focus, or in their peripheral at all.
