The beach here makes up the shoreline between Hollywood Beach to the south and Mandalay Beach to the north. At the center of this stretch of beach is Oxnard Beach Park, a large grassy park with palm trees, picnic tables, barbecues, walking paths, and a pirate-themed playground for kids.
Oxnard State Beach Park is between the Oxnard Shores neighborhood and the Embassy Suites hotel; it's a great place for a walk or BBQ. It can get crowded on weekends, especially holidays. There are clean restrooms and volleyball courts.
The park is located along the California Coastal Trail and the Pacific Coast Bicycle Route. OXNARD STATE BEACH PARK. Oxnard Beach Park is a family-friendly beach situated in-between the Oxnard Shores area. This gorgeous beach area has scattered attractive trees and has magnificent views of the Channel Island National Park and Marine Sanctuary.
It's clean, right next to the beach and the Embassy Suites. The park is large enough for picnics, BBQs and games with the family and friends. There are paths for biking and roller skating. The parking is plentiful. It's also near Channel Islands Harbor which has some great places to eat.
