Each nurse is required to complete not less than 25 hours of continuing education hours that are approved by the Board during the 2 years preceding an application for renewal or relicensure. Beginning 1-6-2017, at least 2 of these hours must be in pain and symptom management.
Obtain certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) or the Michigan certification board for addiction professionals. Maximum = 20 CE credits per license cycle.
Continuing Education Requirement. The Michigan Board of Nursing accepts NetCE courses. NetCE is an approved provider through CE Broker, Provider #50-2405. NetCE will electronically report successful course completions to CE Broker. RN and LPN are required 25 contact hours every two years, 2 of which must be in pain and symptom management.
Michigan nurses are required to earn 25 hours of continuing education within the 2-year period preceding the date of renewal. At least 2 of these hours must be in pain and pain symptom management. A one-time human trafficking continuing education module is required.
Michigan Psychologists Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP).
