It will also estimate the annual contributions you and your employer will make toward your retirement benefit based on the salary you enter.
Once your maximum annual retirement allowance is calculated, SERS determines how much your actual monthly payment will be based on a variety of factors, including the monthly payment option you select when you retire.
Your employer’s mandatory contribution toward your pension is calculated each year based on the assets and liabilities of the SERS pension fund and their mandatory contribution toward your investment plan is 2.25% of your pay.
