If you are visiting the San Francisco Bay Area with out-of-state or out-of-country license plates and plan on crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, your best toll payment options are a One-Time Payment or a License Plate Account.
Cash tolls are no longer collected at the Bridge. Instead, motorists can use one of four easy ways to pay a Golden Gate Bridge toll — a FasTrak Account, a License Plate Account, a One-Time Payment, or a Toll Invoice.
Paying Bridge Tolls. All Bay Area toll bridges have switched to automatic toll collection. Cash payment is no longer collected at any of the eight toll bridges. There are four ways to pay bridge tolls: FasTrak®, License Plate Account, One-Time Payment, and Invoice.
You have 48 hours to pay a toll after crossing the bridge. Payments can be made online , over the phone or in person by contacting the Customer Service Center . Short-term one-time payment accounts also receive a discount.
