Like many have pointed out, at a certain point in the game pals just do not want to battle when thrown out to combat an enemy. They almost get stuck in an animation loop. It seems to be amplified during boss battles. I may have found a fix. I had 2 bases with 15 pals at each.

My Pals aren't fighting at all when I'm in a boss tunnel, boss tower, or just regular enemy NPC's attacking me. They just stand there. My base Pals are completely fine, but I dont kno whow to fix this.
12 Φεβ 2024 · Start hitting the enemy. When enemies target you ( with the exclamation mark and fight symbol on top of their name) The pal you assign to you will AUTOMATICALLY start fighting them. But i have issues for some of my pal or at random times.

Xbox users seem to be particularly affected by this issue, hinting at a potential platform-specific bug. Suggestions from the community range from reinstalling the game to using certain commands to prompt pal actions.
The fastest and easiest fix I’ve found is to return to title through the options menu and load back into your game. I’ve tried testing out what exactly causes this bug and it seems that every time I interact with one of my bases, this starts happening.
