9 Ιουν 2015 · Miners Beach – Possibly the most breathtaking beach in the entire Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Miner’s Beach offers great swimming in Lake Superior or in the warmer Miner’s River. Views of the Pictured Rocks cliffs can be had to the east, and the area is also popular with sea kayakers.

Miners Beach. Time: 30 minutes. Don’t let the beautiful blue waters lull you into thinking Lake Superior is warm. It is most definitely not. However, if you are interested in swimming, Miners Beach is our favorite place to swim (technically we swim in the warmer river). It also has a beautiful sandy beach that is great for walking along.
