At present, this park has a cover of Charrales and Tacotales, secondary deciduous forest and 290 hectares of evergreen forest. Several species of fauna can be observed, especially birds such as the copetona magpie (Calocita formosa), collagaja pigeon (Colomba fascinata) and coliblanca pigeon (Leptotila verreauxi).
