All families with children entering the DSS-DHS shelter system must apply for shelter at DSS-DHS' Prevention Assistance and Temporary Housing (PATH) intake center. More information on the shelter entry and application process for families with children can be found here .
4 Μαρ 2024 · When you apply for shelter at PATH for the first time, only the adults in your family need to go in person to PATH (151 East 151st St, Bronx, NY 10451). You do not need to bring your minor children with you (but they can come if you want to bring them).

Homeless families with children or a pregnant person can apply for shelter at PATH, located at 151 E. 151st Street (between Walton and Gerard Avenues), Bronx. Directions by subway: 2, 4, or 5 train to 149th Street.
