The membership consists primarily of Pathfinders, adventurers who travel throughout Golarion —usually inconspicuously—and explore, delve, and otherwise experience the lesser-seen parts of the world.
Pathfinder Society (second edition) uses Paizo’s Pathfinder Second Edition ruleset and Lost Omens setting under the campaign leadership of the Paizo Organized Play Team. This guide presents the information you need to participate in this exciting, dynamic campaign.

Pathfinder Society is the 'official' way to run PF adventures. It's a more limited ruleset with DM's for Society specifically. You'd be better of just finding a PF game on roll20 or something, forget society.
