The Patton Museum’s focus shifted to leadership education for ROTC cadets at Fort Knox. The Armor and Cavalry Collection continues to grow and occasionally opens to the public during select events. More information can be found on the US Army Armor & Cavalry Collection’s Facebook page.

The General George Patton Museum of Leadership is a publicly accessible museum on Fort Knox, Kentucky, dedicated to the memory and life lessons of General George S. Patton, Jr., and the continuing education of Junior Army leaders in the U.S. Army and in particular the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps.
On April 30, 1948, General Order #6 at Ft. Knox established the current museum in honor of Patton and the thousands of American GIs who fought in the war. On May 30, 1949, a wartime building in the center of the Armor School on Old Ironsides Avenue was dedicated and the museum became a reality.
It houses the personal artifacts of the famous World War II General George S. Patton Jr and tells the story multiple leaders throughout the history of the US Army. The museum is home to a broad collection of vehicles, uniforms, weapons, and equipment. It is free and accessible to the general public.
