We are testing PC800 RDRAM manufactured by Samsung, and as it is the older 16 bit serial type, we need to install them in matching pairs. Here we have two 128 MB PC800 RIMMS. Because RDRAM runs at such a high frequency, Rambus requires all memory manufacturers to add ramsinks to their RIMMS.

I bought some PC800 ECC RDRAM, and installed it in conjunction with my Non ECC RDRAM. My system did not start and returned me with 3 post beeps (RAM failure). The research I did into this was that PC800 ECC RDRAM was compatible with all Pentium 4's.

7 Απρ 2002 · April 7th, 2002 07:00. To find out you can enter the BIOS setup by hitting the F2 key when you see the Dell splash screen while booting up. Once inside the setup arrow down to "System Memory" and there it will list how much RAM is installed in your system.
