19 Απρ 2017 · tinea faciei. A 2-year-old male child had a large erythematous and infiltrated annular plaque with an advancing border on the face for the past 2 months. There were subtle epidermal changes with fine, semi-adherent, white scales (Figure, A) and no evidence of scarring.
Treatment of tinea faciei. Tinea faciei is usually treated with topical antifungal agents, but if the treatment is unsuccessful, oral antifungal medicines may be considered, including terbinafine and itraconazole. In recent years, antifungal drug resistance has made treatment more challenging.
