The Baltusrol Golf Club is a private 36- hole golf club in the eastern United States, located in Springfield, New Jersey, about twenty miles (30 km) west of New York City. It was founded 129 years ago in 1895 by Louis Keller. In 1985, Baltusrol became the first club to have hosted both the U.S. Open and Women's U.S. Open on two different courses.
The Club has hosted 18 major championships in its 128-year history, including seven U.S. Opens, two U.S. Women’s Opens, two PGA Championships, and the 2023 Women's PGA Championship. In 2014, Baltusrol was designated a National Historic Landmark in recognition of its importance to Tillinghast’s career as a course designer.
The 2029 PGA Championship will be staged on Baltusrol’s famed Lower Course, which is an A.W. Tillinghast design. Since opening in 1922, the Lower Course has hosted 10 major golf events, including seven professional major championships.
