The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced that the Anchorage temple will be reconstructed.
The First Presidency has announced that the Anchorage Alaska Temple will be reconstructed as a new building where the adjoining meetinghouse is located. The existing 11,930-square-foot temple will remain open during the construction of the replacement 30,000-square-foot facility.
4 Οκτ 1997 · On Monday, Jan. 3, 2024, The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that the Anchorage Alaska Temple would be rebuilt where the nearby stake center stood. The meetinghouse would be demolished to make space for the new temple.
