5 Σεπ 2024 · Phyllis Shafer, a Lake Tahoe-based plein air artist, vividly captures the mountains, lakes, and forests of the American West. Instead of rendering nature realistically, this painter shows her landscape love by capturing its dynamic energy through surreal swirls and dreamy imagery.
16 Ιουλ 2024 · Shafer is a plein air painter and translates the boundless landscapes near her Lake Tahoe home into striking vistas tinged with fantasy. From about April to October, she packs up her canvases, brushes, and tubes of oil paints and hikes into the wilderness of the American West.
15 Ιαν 2024 · Approximately 50 works will be on display from gallery artists, as well as works by a few creatives who have participated as guests in some of their larger group shows. “We’re going to have landscape artist Phyllis Shafer; George G. Redden—who is the son of cowboy artist Grant Redden; and Craig Blietz,” says Alexander.
