The Weapons tables below show the most common weapons used in the worlds of D&D, their price and weight, the damage they deal when they hit, and any special properties they possess. Every weapon is classified as either melee or ranged.

But Plate armor (which is a sort of Heavy armor) costs 1500 gp (according to PHB page 145). My ruling on the spot was that the 101-500 gp range was for the reinforcement only, and not for the armor itself, and thus the Adamantine Plate armor would be priced at around 2000 gp. Is there another way of coming to an answer that I didn't consider?
As u/SilverxHaseo has said, the price of Adamantine Plate Mail by RAW is 2000 GP. 1500 GP plus the 500 GP on top. From my understanding (though I might be wrong) this is because Adamantine armor isn't 100% made from Adamantine.
-1. The 'Armor and Shields' section of the Player's Handbook lists the AC and Cost of armour and shields. The top end of each armour type (Light, Medium, Heavy) is substantially more expensive than the rest. Has anybody worked out a formula for determining armour's Cost using the variables of type, AC, Str req, Stealth disadv, and weight?
