16 Οκτ 2014 · Not all games (especialy before they were on Steam) can be added to Steam. If it did have a key, you could have tried entering it and seeing if it worked. As it does not have a key, there is no way to add it to Steam. and you can install it legal and play it legal, just not over steam. ask the gamedev to send you a steamkey.
