Turns out I disabled all notifications for Podcast Addict. The player controls on the lock screen are treated by the OS as a notification. To fix it, I went to Apps > Search "Podcast Addict" > Notifications > toggle "Show notifications" on.
18 Ιαν 2023 · Here's what you can try to check: Hold down Windows+S >> search for Notification & actions >> then find Snipping Tool in the corresponding window >> click on the relevant screen to see if the corresponding option is turned on, as shown below (Image based on Windows 11)
MIUI doesn't like it when apps try to customize the lock screen player. Turn off customization in Podcast Addict by going to Settings > Notifications > Player > uncheck custom layout
It looks like you disabled the app notifications in your device settings. Please go to the device Settings/Notifications/Applications/Podcast Addict screen and make sure to restore the notifications (especially the player one if only this one was disabled)
How To open the app on the screen of your choice? By default the app opens on the screen that shows the list of podcasts you subscribed to. Replace Podcast Addict default icons on your launcher with a widget called "Opening Screen". This 1x1 widget allows you to select the app default screen.

I've turned on every option for showing notifications in the settings including: No battery saving restriction. Show notifications -> all turned on. Other permissions -> Show on Lock screen.
