Knowing who Jesus is and what His role entails as we pray is key to effectively praying in His Name. There are prerequisites for praying in Jesus’ name and seeing His resulting work in our lives as He responds to our requests.
To pray in Jesus’ names means that we approach God based on Christ’s merit and not our own, that we seek to please Jesus and not ourselves, and that we treasure God’s glory above our desires. It is prayer that is in alignment with and in submission to God’s will that will be answered.
