15 Ιαν 2017 · Purpose: This systematic review and meta-analysis assessed outcomes in primary teeth for the vital pulp therapy (VPT) options of indirect pulp therapy (IPT), direct pulp capping (DPC), and pulpotomy after a minimum of 12 months to determine whether one VPT was superior.
In primary dentition, different treatment modalities of vital pulp therapy (VPT) are available, namely indirect pulp treatment, direct pulp capping and pulpotomy. The objective of VPT is to treat reversible pulpal inflammation, and preserve pulp vitality and function(s) [ 1 ].
