13 Νοε 2015 · The usual cause of gear grinding when shifting is that the engine is idling too high. Bumping the throttle causes the idle to decrease and allows grind free shifting. I have lowered the idle on my mule to allow shifting but the problem is that the engine doesn't like to idle that slow and usually stalls.
