That decision: the mailed version of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter will be discontinued with the 12/11 issue. The WON will continue as an online publication and, for the vast majority of subscribers, there will be no real changes other than some new positive ways in which information will be put on the website.
There are usually a few shows a week with Dave, and the mailbag segments at the end of those are worth the price alone. Not to mention, the Observer Newsletter is unparalleled and far more comprehensive and sensible than you'll find anywhere else. Hope that helps.
Hey all! Where can I find archived versions of old wrestling newsletters? I'm working on some research related to Mike Tyson and know he was referenced in relation to his dealings with WWF. In 1990, he was supposed to be part of an NBC special but got knocked out so Buster Douglas subbed in.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON) is a newsletter that covers professional wrestling and mixed martial arts. Founded in print in 1982 by Dave Meltzer, the Wrestling Observer website merged with Bryan Alvarez's Figure Four Weekly website in 2008, becoming Wrestling Observer Figure Four Online. Issues are offered in print and digital.
