4. Plague of Flies. Because of Pharaoh's hardened heart, God sent the fourth plague: swarms of flies. When God sent the flies, He made a distinction between the Egyptians and the Hebrews. In the lands of Egypt, everyone was plagued by flies, but in the land of the Israelites, there were none (Exodus 8:20-32).
