The competition results were announced on 29 March 2023. The National Poetry Competition 2022 winners were announced at a live awards event at the Southbank Centre, London on 29 March 2023. There were over 17,800 poems submitted to the 2022 competition from 8,112 poets from 103 countries worldwide. The 2022 winners.
2 Σεπ 2024 · The competition is free to enter, and no prior experience is necessary; the only thing we require is a passion for writing! The winner will receive £100, and four shortlisted poets will receive a £25 National Book Token. All five poems will be published in issue 96 of Happiful.
31 Μαρ 2022 · National Poetry Competition winner Eric Yip. Judges Fiona Benson, David Constantine and Rachel Long have awarded first prize for the National Poetry Competition 2021 to 19-year-old student Eric Yip, for his poem ‘Fricatives’.
19 Απρ 2022 · The 1,440-odd entries for this year’s Kent & Sussex Poetry Competition were made up of an incredible and impressive array of poetic forms (villanelles seemed especially popular!) as well as a lot of short and long poems in free verse.
The competition runs annually, opening in the spring and closing at the end of October. A new team of judges (made up of three respected poets) is announced each year. The first prize is £5,000 and the top three winners are published in Britain's leading poetry magazine, The Poetry Review.
