In September 2022, the governor issued an executive order to establish the state’s first Racial Equity Commission.

Call the Area Office on Aging for all of your Medicare questions. Family Caregiver Support Program. Families, not social service agencies, nursing homes or government programs, are the main providers of long-term care for older persons in Northwestern Ohio.
CDPH Programs address these chronic conditions, as well as Alzheimer's disease, oral health and other conditions, with a focus on disease prevention, promoting initiatives that encourage early intervention and screening, and tips for maintaining optimum health in the senior years.
Area agencies on aging coordinate local services and supports for older adults and people with disabilities in their communities. The Ohio Department of Aging provides funding to 12 area agencies. Agencies also receive a blend of federal, state, local, and community funds and contributions.
