In mathematical physics, the concept of quantum spacetime is a generalization of the usual concept of spacetime in which some variables that ordinarily commute are assumed not to commute and form a different Lie algebra. The choice of that algebra varies from one theory to another.

9 Μαΐ 2018 · Nature - Physicists believe that at the tiniest scales, space emerges from quanta. What might these building blocks look like?
4 Μαΐ 2022 · General relativity and quantum mechanics are the two most successful conceptual breakthroughs of modern physics, but Einstein’s description of gravity as a curvature in space-time doesn’t easily mesh with a universe made up of quantum wavefunctions.
3 Απρ 2021 · The space-time continuum of Newtonian physics as prerequisite for the understanding of quantum physics was taken for granted. The Copenhagen interpretation had gained widespread recognition; classical concepts, in particular continuity in space and time, remained to be its central doctrine.
22 Σεπ 2021 · Our focus in this paper is to simplistically evaluate the quantum mechanical status of space and time with an eye toward relativistic quantum mechanics: recasting the basics of quantum mechanics in a way that can be made amenable to the study of quantum gravity from first principles.
16 Απρ 2018 · The malleability of space and time mean that two events occurring far apart might even happen in one order when viewed by one observer, and in the opposite order when viewed by another.
