In the US, Bowker is the exclusive agent for assigning ISBNs, a few dodgy sites try to resell them. $125 USD if purchased individually, I believe. 1 Νοε 2018 · November 1, 2018 – R.R. Bowker, LLC (“Bowker”) was recently made aware by the payment card networks of patterns of unauthorized charges occurring on cards after they were legitimately used on Bowker’s website, www.myidentifiers.com.

I reviewed your site and noticed that there is some incorrect messaging pertaining to ISBNs that should be corrected as soon as possible: 1) Single ISBNs can be purchased for $125 from the ISBN Agency; it is incorrect that only blocks of ten can be purchased.
Among other things, Bowker provides bibliographic information on published works to the book trade, including publishers, booksellers, libraries, and individuals; its roots in the industry trace back to 1868. Bowker is the exclusive U.S. agent for issuing International Standard Book Numbers (ISBNs).
